The Common Age Of Prostate Problems
Prostate issues usually appear after the age of 40, but can appear sooner or later depending on your genetics and health. The symptoms can be subtle at first, but usually well into the 40?s and 50?s the symptoms become very prominent.
Around the age of 40, some men begin to notice having to wake up at least once during the night to urinate. Men at this age may also begin to experience very mild sexual dysfunction and discomfort. Between the ages of 45 to 50, night time waking to urinate increases to more than once per night. The sexual dysfunction may or may not get worse. In some, it may even get better. During this time period, some may begin to experience mild prostate swelling and discomfort.
After the age of 50 or 60, if prostate disease is truly present the symptoms will be in full swing. All of the above symptoms will increase and often be unbearable at times. This is why it is important to begin yearly prostate checks after the age of 40.
